We are now learning that a jury in Los Angeles County has sided with Cardi B in a $24 million lawsuit over an alleged assault. A former security guard had taken the famous rapper to court over an alleged attack that took place in Beverly Hills in 2018. LiveNOW’s Josh Breslow has the latest updates after a jury deliberated on Tuesday and decided that Cardi B should not be held liable.

The rapper was four months into her pregnancy with the first of her three children with the artist known as Offset . Reports say she had told her inner circle she was having a baby, but not the public or her parents.

"She couldn’t get a scratch from me because I didn’t touch her," Cardi B said on the stand last month, AP reports. "She didn't touch me," Cardi B testified, according to AP's report last month.

The lawsuit, filed by former security guard Emali Ellis, claimed Cardi B scratched and spit on her during an altercation in 2018 while outside a doctor's office.

"I told her, ‘Why are you recording?’" Cardi testified, according to AP. "And she said, ’Oh my bad.’ She practically apologized.’"
