The Puroflux PF-64 separator package shown includes pump, pre-strainer, piping, control panel, PF-61 separator vessel, and electric auto purge valve as standard.

The Puroflux unit can be utilized on many applications; most commonly slip stream off the main condenser loop, or to your cooling tower basin/sump sweeper piping/jets.

The dirty carrying fluid is pumped into the Puroflux separator inlet tangentially. The velocity creates centrifugal forces pushing debris to the PF-61 separator outer wall and ultimately to the accumulation chamber.

The clean carrying fluid is within the inner vortex which reverses its axial flow at the deflection plate, to the vortex finding tube, ultimately exiting via the separator outlet.

The purge valve must be opened periodically to dispose of accumulated debris. As the Puroflux separator operates at a constant head loss, the purge cycle is accomplished on a timer function and should be set accordingly to the prevailing conditions at each installation.
