Antigua Guatemala | 5-day travel guide, backpacking Central America's most beautiful city

Welcome to our favourite city in Central America - Antigua, Guatemala!

Antigua is a stunning colonial city in the highlands of Guatemala. With some of the most beautiful architecture we have seen, and surrounded by impressive volcanos, this stop quickly became one of our favourite experiences while backpacking through Central America!

We landed in Guatemala following a month of amazing travel in Panama and Costa Rica. With approximately a month planned in this beautiful country as well, our first stop was Antigua.

With 6 nights and 5 full days here, we took our time exploring the colourful streets and enjoying our time in the city. Watch the video to see exactly how we spent our time in Antigua! From walking tours, to notable food stops and lively markets - there are plenty of things to do and see in this impressive city!
