Polish War Graves and Stories in England: Newark and Resettlement Corps

Описание к видео Polish War Graves and Stories in England: Newark and Resettlement Corps

I told myself I was going to see some Polish war history sites in England after finding out about those graves at the Norwich mental hospital a few years ago. Newark on Trent is where many Polish pilots were buried, but Scotland also had a large number of Polish soldiers based there to defend the coastal areas. There are 3 graves for other Polish exile presidents, elected in Europe by diaspora who would have been executed as 'imperialist spies' if they tried to return, but the grave of General Sikorski has been empty since 1993 when he was returned to his native soil, in the same cathedral with the General of the Winged Hussars.
