Here we are overlooking the beach at Durdle Door in Dorset, England, on a beautiful summer evening in July. As the sun goes down you can see the happy folks leaving the beach, and the moon rise over the sea. As darkness falls there is still enough moonlight to illuminate the scene. See the torches of a few people visiting the beach at night and stars the rising over the horizon. At dawn the clouds briefly glow pink.

The time interval between photos was initially set at 5 seconds, but as it got dark this was not long enough to get the right exposure, so it had be increased to 30 seconds. Hence night time passes much quicker. The total duration is 7pm to 7am.

For this Jurassic Coast 4K footage I walked 5 miles with heavy equipment, spent 12 hours over night on a windswept clifftop, and a day in post production. Was it all worth it I wonder?
