I know Christmas is two months away, but if you have boys, of any ages, this is a good set. You can get at the Lego Store by following this link: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Dragon-Pi... . The set is reasonably priced at $129.99 for the 1660 pieces you get (a licensed set typically runs more than $0.10 per brick.

I will start by first venting to Lego - I really, really do not like the new box design. Although easy to open, the tabs are no longer useful and no longer keep the set closed, which makes storing your sets in the boxes, which I do as a collector, much more difficult. Not that I suspect anyone form Lego to see this, but if they do - change the boxes back to allow for secured closure of the box.

Now, on to the set. This set has appeal to many different types of Lego fans. First, this set has 9 minifigures, all with accessories, which adds to the value of the claim. Second, for anyone who likes to obtains sets for the parts, it is again a good value, and has lots of unique parts. Third, it has a lot of playability - an opening gate, a double cannon, and a trap door. Fourth, and most importantly, it has a dragon - and a unique one at that.

Being a boy in an adult body, I would highly recommend this set due to all the issues noted above.
