Flood Water Logged Streets of Kolkata on 30th July'21| Tips to Drive | Drive through Water | Monsoon

This is the condition of streets of Kolkata during monsoon. Overnight rain had caused these water logging in the streets. The water did not drained due to the poor drainage and also the unsustainable development around the city.

There are many tips to be followed while driving through waterlogged areas (This is applies to bikes also):
-- Do not drive through the streets that had the water level over the exhaust level.
-- If you had to then always keep the RPM above 1000 so that water could not enter the exhaust pipe.
-- Keep constant speed do not create waves and don't stop the car in between.
-- Even if you had to stop, keep the accelerator pressed a little to keep the rpm high.
-- If the engine stalls then do not try to crank the engine as this can suck in water.
