Every October, Malaysia joins the global community in observing Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Awareness Month.
This video aims to increase public understanding, reduce stigma, and promote a more inclusive and supportive society for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

Learning disabilities — including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD — are neurological differences in how the brain receives and processes information. They do not reflect a person’s intelligence or potential. With awareness, early intervention, and supportive environments, individuals with LD can thrive academically, socially, and professionally.

Mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, burnout, and trauma remain widely misunderstood. Many Malaysians continue to face stigma and negative perceptions that prevent them from seeking help.
This campaign encourages the community to respond with empathy, respect, and understanding.

As an NGO volunteer, this awareness initiative highlights five key actions:
• Listen without judgement
• Use supportive and respectful language
• Normalize seeking professional help
• Provide assistance to individuals who learn differently
• Create safe and inclusive spaces in homes, schools, and workplaces

Together, we can build a society that supports, empowers, and understands every individual.

Awareness saves lives.
