LEMANS 1970 by ASSETTO CORSA - 36 Car Grid of era-correct cars VR, Exterior and Interior camera view

Recreating the 1970 Le Mans race with many of the cars that took part in the race although I'm racing it in the dry and the race itself was a bit of a washout. The video is a montage of clips giving the feel of the race I return to frequently and usually race over 12 laps with time set to x30 resulting in an approximately 24 hour race length.


Raced on the 1967 version of the track as it has a more period feel with grass and sandbanks lining the circuit.

The 1967 mod track is limited to 36 cars although 51 cars started the Le Mans race in 1970 according to a great account of the race from the July 1970 issue of motorsport magazine

I'm missing many cars, most notably the Matra MS650 and would greatfully receive any leads on more accurate models and missing skins etc

Raced using an HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality system for a truly immersive experience that two dimensional videos can only give a hint at. What I see through the headset is fully three dimensional and has a much larger field of view than you see on the video.
