In the land of the Venda people, a young widow named Nevhulana was an outcast in her village, accused of witchcraft in connection to her late husband's death. Despite her hardships, she remained strong and resilient, doing what she needed to survive. One day, while gathering firewood, she encounters a deadly puff adder, but fearlessly defeats it with her husband's battle axe.

However, her life takes an extraordinary turn when she returns to find her baby playing with a strange, otherworldly creature. This alien being is unlike anything Nevhulana has ever seen, with bluish-gray skin, peculiar features, and an enigmatic presence. Initially alarmed, Nevhulana is urged by the alien being telepathically to let the children play together.

As they watch the children interact, the alien woman reveals her desire for peaceful relations between their worlds, expressing hope that one day they can coexist without fear and distrust. She departs, leaving behind a box containing the stones with which the children played, now a symbol of unity between Earth and the distant star.

Nevulana takes this precious box to the chief of the Venda nation, who decides to preserve it as a commemoration of the momentous encounter. The box becomes an heirloom, passed down through generations, and eventually reaches the storyteller. He narrates this incredible tale, wearing the necklace, and acknowledging its significance as a connection to the past and the stars.

This is a tale of the extraordinary mingling with the ordinary, bridging worlds, and transcending fear, symbolizing hope for harmony and understanding between beings from different realms.
