Scott Jones was elected a bishop in the United Methodist Church in 2004. He was received as a bishop in the Global Methodist Church in 2023. He holds degrees from the University of Kansas (B.A. in Philosophy), Perkins School of Theology (Master of Theology) and Southern Methodist University (Ph.D. in Religious Studies). He is the author of multiple books including John Wesley's Conception and Use of Scripture.
