The Inside Story of JWST - with Prof. Sasha Hinkley

Professor Sasha Hinkley and his team in the Astrophysics Group at the University of Exeter are experts at directly imaging the faint exoplanets orbiting young stars. Sasha leads a large, international collaboration pushing the frontiers of direct imaging with the ambitious James Webb Space Telescope. In this video, Sasha takes us behind the scenes, telling us the inside story of how JWST came to be, its tense launch, and the incredible moment the first ever image of an exoplanet came down from the telescope.
