FAQ: Spy Disguise Tutorial

G'day all MrPaladin here.

FAQ: MrPaladin, How do you change your spies weapon or disguise as a teammate? How did the enemy see you when you were cloaked with the Dead Ringer?

I get asked this quite often from my videos where I do a bunch of acting and disguise manipulation when I run a dead ringer. Unlike the watches that can make you invisible with a dead ringer you are trying your best to make your disguise count if you can. Here are a few tricks to help you manipulate your disguise.

Consider things like holding your disguise changes until after you cloak or after your dead ringer is triggered so that you do not get seen while invisible because of the disguise smoke. If you disguise as a teammate as you leave the spawn with a dead ringer you might trick the enemy into not thinking there is a spy getting behind them or maybe they don't expect an ambassador headshot from the mostly short to midranged pyro... a friendly disguise while pushing the cart can help while disguising as a team pyro can either scare enemy spies away from you or make them extend to get a backstab on a pyro and expose them...
