Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park - Home of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros

Kaziranga is a national park in the state of Assam, India. The sanctuary, which hosts two-thirds of the world's great one-horned rhinoceroses, is a World Heritage Site. According to the 2018 census, Rhino population in the park was 2413. The Park is also recognized as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International. The best time to visit Kaziranga is anywhere from November to April (although I personally prefer February). The Park floods in the months of June, July and August when it is closed to visitors.
