Oklahoma passes strictest abortion ban in the US

In the U.S., Oklahoma legislators have passed the most restrictive bill banning access to abortion in the country, with only the governor's signature needed for it to become law.

The bill prohibits abortions from the moment of fertilization and relies on lawsuits from private citizens to enforce it. The only exceptions allowed are for medical emergencies or in cases of sexual assault or incest.

Abortion rights advocates are warning of dire consequences for thousands of women as clinics are already closing their doors. Jennifer Johnson reports.
