Tarantella - (J. K. Mertz)

I started practicing this piece basically when it was requested back in October at my recording of the Elegie. There were quite a few breaks in between, where I just didn't want to play this piece any longer, because it was quite frustrating. Finally I'm done.
This piece is surprisingly much harder than the music sheet suggests. Also Vera Danilina set the bar incredibly high. I hope to achieve her level of mastery in the future. You should listen to her amazing recordings.

What I like about this piece is the power it conveys. Fast but beautiful. A masterpiece by J. K. Mertz.
