Every time the Padron family does one of these special releases, they mark or celebrate a particular special occasion. The 80 years in this video represents the 80th birthday of Jose Orlando Padron. These cigars will released in honor of the late Jose O. Padron's 80th birthday.
This cigar is one of the more unique Padron cigars. It has a torpedo shape, unlike a lot of its sister and cousin cigars. This is also the natural version, but it does come in a maduro version as well.
Furthermore, this cigar (the maduro version) was the Cigar Aficionado No. 2 Cigar of 2008. This is something that is nothing new to the Padron family. Padron cigars consistently receive high ratings as well as critical acclaim. Apprently the Padron family knows what they're doing. And they continue to do it well.
