HEATHERETTE PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS.
Heatherette design duo Richie Rich and Trave Rains created a three-ring circus literally for their 2004 Fall Collection presented Thursday night in New York. Contortionists a cotton candy machine and flying trapeze artsists all added to the mood of a 1950s circus -- the duo''s inspiration for the collection.
Known for their outrageousness, they did not fail their customers with their new show. Flirty skirts, skin bearing minidresses and a brightly adorned tops and bottoms were mixed in with circus inspired party wear. A downsized Anna Nicole Smith playing the part of Marilyn Monroe sailed down the runway mouthing the words to "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" Boy George opened the show and talked to APTN backstage before the show about designing with Heatherette for the show.
Male model Marcus Schenkenberg sporting a toned physique and lots of diamonds told APTN that he was happy to accept the "bling bling" in lieu of payment for walking the show.
