New BMW IX3

The new iX3 will be built on the Neue Klasse platform, which will also be used to make the next-generation i3 electric sedan. This platform allows for the installation of one or two electric motors, and their power will vary from 300 to 600 hp. It is expected that the range on a single charge will be up to 800 km. For comparison, the first-generation BMW iX3 was offered with a single 286-horsepower electric motor and rear-wheel drive, and the claimed range was only 460 km on the WLTP cycle. In general, the crossover will retain the design of the concept, and the differences will lie in small details. At the front, the most noticeable update will be the bumper, which will receive contrasting inserts of slightly different manufacture. Narrow vertical "nostrils" and original headlights with a pair of inclined LED elements on each side will also be on the serial SUV, and we have depicted this very imitation of the radiator grille without LED backlighting, which the concept has, but which is absent from the patent images (most likely, they will be switchable). The car will receive more voluminous sidewalls and a higher window sill line, and the door handles will be retractable (as on the future three-ruble car ). On the lower part of the thresholds, which, like other BMW crossovers, will not open with the doors, there will be an additional decorative trim in the body color. As for the rear part, the most significant differences here can be considered the appearance of a windshield wiper and a changed shape of the license plate niche.
