However, our bus reached by 1:20 pm. Most of the route is a single-lane road and navigates through beautiful teak, betel nut plantations and small stretch traverses in deadly kollur ghats. The fare for the bus is Rs. 133 and it goes via a very scenic route as well. This bus goes to Shimoga via Sagara, Hosanagara. Our bus driver was driving the bus really well. There were one halt for tea. You should try the day journey so that you get to see the beauty on the way. The distance between Kollur to Shimoga is approximately 140 kms and would take between 3 - 4 hours.
