🎶 Here’s my cover of Jerry Jeff Walker’s iconic “London Homesick Blues,” a song that’s affectionately called the “Texas National Anthem” by many fans. Written by 🎸 Gary P. Nunn, the song beautifully captures the homesick longing for the Lone Star State 🌟 while being stuck across the pond in London 🇬🇧.

Originally written in a London apartment while Nunn was part of Walker’s Lost Gonzo Band, this track first appeared on the legendary 1973 ¡Viva Terlingua! album. Recorded live in Luckenbach, Texas, this album became a defining moment for outlaw country music 🤠. “London Homesick Blues” eventually gained even more fame as the theme song for the long-running PBS show Austin City Limits, making it a staple of Texas music history 🌵.
