The Skyscrapers EP explores the theme of a haunting love story and came together while I was working with Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes of PNAU. I want people to feel inspired, and motivated. And to feel the real pain and feelings that are behind my voice. I’m beyond over the moon excited to show this EP to the world and all the beauty it has to offer.

The EP includes previous releases ‘I’ve Been Watching You’, ‘Brave’ and ‘Home’, plus two stunning new singles, ‘My Only’ and the EP’s title track, ‘Skyscrapers’.

On the title track, Littlemore states, “A song like Skyscrapers, we had a kind of breakdown mutually in the studio. We’d been working so hard, so many late nights, and it was all getting too much. Ivy came up with a melody over a simple track and it just soared above all else we had recorded.”

Mayes adds, “Skyscrapers is quite a simple track with classic chord progression, which I just played on guitar, and Ivy reacted – she seemed to love it. And then we just let Ivy sing. There was no writing process in a conventional sense, where you sit down with a pad and a pen and you work out your verse and your chorus and everything, it was just very fluid and beautiful and, you know, it was a late night moment between all of us. It really took shape very quickly, we just edited a few bits together and then we had it. I don’t think we even changed many of the lyrics. So yeah, the greatest song that we’ve done came together very quickly.”
