 Hello, this is Dr. Chris Quigley coming to you from Charles Street Family Chiropractic and Boston Spinal Disc Center. Today I'm here to describe to you how a spinal decompression table works. What happens to the spine is that it gets injured and the discs come out of their alignment. And I can show you on my model here.

With the model you can see how that disc has come out of its normal juxtaposition. So what a spinal decompression table does is slowly, gently, comfortably open up the spinal disc space, and you see how that disc fell right back in. That's exactly what happens in your body. The disc gets pulled back into its normal alignment and it's done slowly, gently, and comfortably.

We have a very, very high success rate with these things. We're somewhere around 90 percent with these very difficult cases.
