Ontario 12 in Machete: Initial Impressions by TheGearTester

In this video I share my initial impressions on the Ontario 12 inch cutlass machete. Costing around $20 this American made piece of cutlery is a cost effective tool. The initial grind, on the 1095 carbon steel blade was rather rough, however that just means that Ill get some practice sharpening it before I put it to work. The blade is quite rigid do to the fact that it is 0.125 inches thick. This machete does not come with a sheath. All things considered I feel that the Ontario 12 inch machete represents a very good value. You can expect a chop test video and a full review to be released in the next couple weeks.
