Setting up Windows Pre-requisites
---------------------------------------
Step 1 (0:00): Download and install the below software that is required for Lightning App and Zap Wallet to run on Windows. Restart your computer and then create a folder called "LN" on your Desktop and then create a subfolder called "lightning-app" inside of that.

Installing Lightning
---------------------
If you do not want to install the Zap Wallet and merely want to use the default Lightning App on your Windows computer download it here: https://github.com/lightninglabs/ligh.... After downloading you can extract to a directory and folder of your choice and then double-click the lightning.exe file to launch the application.

Step 2 (1:40): Search for "CMD" in Windows, right-click and choose Run As Administrator.
Step 3 (1:50): Navigate to your install directory by typing "cd C:\Users\Username\Desktop\LN\lightning-app".
Step 4 (2:15): Type "git clone https://github.com/lightninglabs/ligh...". This will create a new directory called "lightning-app" and clone the Lightning GitHub project into that new directory.
Step 5 (3:05): Type "npm run setup". After running the command you receive an error like the one in the video when trying to launch Lighting.exe, you will need to install Python 2.7 for Windows at the URL listed above.
Step 6 (3:45): After installing Python 2.7, type "npm run setup" again and it should run without error this time as it is able to reference the new Python installation.
Step 7 (6:25): Wait for the above command to complete and then type "npm run package-electron".
Step 8 (6:50): You should now be able to launch the Lightning App by double-clicking on "Lightning.exe". It should sync to the blockchain and when ready to use after you see your unique pub key generate at the bottom-left. At this point you are on the Lightning Network and can create channels and make payments on the Bitcoin Testnet.

Installing Zap Wallet
-----------------------
Step 9: Running CMD as an administrator again, make sure you are in "C:\Users\Username\Desktop\LN"
Step 10 (7:30): Type "git clone https://github.com/LN-Zap/Zap-desktop...".
Step 11 (8:15): Navigate to "...\LN\Zap-desktop\" and type "yarn".
Step 12 (9:10): After it completes type "npm install-grpc".
Step 13 (10:38): Now when in the "...\Zap-desktop\" dir you can type "npm run dev" to launch the Zap Wallet.
Step 14 (11:35): I have not been able to get the Zap Wallet to run on its own without the Lightning App running along with it. If this the case for you as well, just launch Lightning.exe first and then type "npm run dev" to initiate the Zap Wallet. Both the Lightning App and the Zap Wallet will be running and have the same pubkey and show the same information in regards to open channels, payments and wallet transactions.
Step 15: If you need some tBTC to work with you can send some to yourself by using the following facuet: https://testnet.manu.backend.hamburg/.... After 3 confirmations, you will be able to see your wallet balance change and then be able to open a payment channel.
