Royal Gorge Bridge Zip Line, Gondola Ride, and Hike!

Join Erik and I on his birthday adventure at the Royal Gorge Bridge by watching this video to the end! You’ll see the park through our eyes and witness people getting stuck on the zip line, a walk around the park, our gondola adventure, and us zip lining!

Here are my personal reviews regarding today’s trip-

Positives:
-For a Saturday, the crowd was well managed and I felt we reached everything we ultimately wanted to in a reasonable time frame.
-The park is beautiful!
-There’s an option for every adventurer - hiking, climbing up the gorge, rafting, zip lining, and more!
-The park is very family friendly, even when it comes to the pups!
-The zip line and gondola are worth waiting for, they’re both super fun and offer great views!
-With the current situation, you can have an entire gondola car to yourself/small group!
-Free parking
-Plenty of food, drink, and snack options are available throughout the park!
-There’s a even a theatre with free shows, a playground, beer garden, and live music!

Negatives:
-Even if you purchase your tickets in advance and have them ready to go at the door, everyone entering stands in the same line. So, there’s no point in purchasing your tickets in advance!
-It can get a bit pricey depending on how many additional activities you’re interested in.
-If it becomes too windy or stormy, the zip line/gondolas may be shut down or delayed.
-The chair harnesses on the zip line forced me to sit with my legs uncomfortably close to my chest (I’m sure you can see the awkward position in the video).
-You’re not allowed to have a GoPro nor video your ride on the zip line. Although, they will sell the video to you on a USB for $30, but the quality seemed quite poor (we didn’t purchase).
-Lines - they seem unorganized and unstructured, it’s a bit of a free for all in some parts and they can take a long time.
-The theatre line was simply too long this afternoon, so we never made the show.
-COVID - If you care about people wearing masks right now, then this is not the place for you. 90% of the visitors today were not wearing masks nor abiding by the social distancing standards.
