We finally took possession of our new farmhouse, so here's a tour of the interior and a breakdown of some of the work we're going to be doing on it. These older houses weren't build on a foundation other than a few stones, and with the land graded the way it is, there's a big chunk of the house that appears to be sinking. That'll be the first place we start: raising up that corner of the house and seeing how straight we can get some of those interior lines.

Granddad has nicknamed the house the Alice-in-wonderland house because no edge is straight. My husband, Mark is feeling a bit nervous about the size of project we've just taken on.
