Well, it's been 2 years.

First off, thank you all that still watch and listen to me play for waiting so long. I've been really down on myself ever since university started. COVID lockdowns really took a bigger toll on me than expected. I'm sorry that you all had to wait so long to get a new video from me. My lack of energy and lack of motivation drove me away from making new covers. I wanted whatever I uploaded to be the best that I could, and I could never meet my own standard; not when I was being heavily hit down by other life priorities. I'm finally settled a bit in life now, and I'm happy to come back to the platform after 2 years of absence.

Anyways, Snow Halation has always been one of these pop songs that has stuck with me for the longest time; I always wanted to play it, and never found it in me to do it right. I know there are many other extravagant covers, and trying to match that expectation is just out of the window now; especially since I'm heavily out of practice. But at least I am happy where I am now, and I want to be myself with no regrets.

Just to quickly mention, I finally have a tripod to record videos with now! And the music building on my university's campus is no longer reserved for only the music students, so now I can finally walk in and enjoy some grand pianos; this is a very new setup to me, so I am still testing the waters with tripod angles. Let me know how this looks!

Now then about this arrangement; just like some of my other arrangements, this arrangement carefully does its best trying to be faithful to the original song as close as possible. There are small variations to the song like at 1:50, where I play a variation of the original melody, and the final chorus, where I play at an initially slower pace to prepare for the excitement of the finale, where instead of ending on a D major chord, I end on the A major chord, the root chord. Even though this song isn't as technical as some other arrangements, it's my own.

Well, that will be all from me for now. I'm going back to studying, and I will be focused on preparing for my final exams. Thank you all for waiting so long, and I hope to see you all in the future. If I don't see you again for the rest of this year, then I wanna wish you all happy holidays, and that you all spend time with your loved ones. Hold them tight.
