This temple is the winter seat of Baba Kedarnath. When the doors of Baba Kedar ji are closed for 6 months in winter, then his festival and Bhog idol is brought to this place which is named Omkareshwar temple. Here you can see the idol or murti of Kedarnath Baba Ji. In this vlog you will also get to know the history of Omkareshwar temple which is really amazing and i also guiding you how to reach Omkareshwar temple or Ukhimath Temple. Omkareshwar temple is one of the five Kedars(Panch kedar). Some people also know this temple as Ukhimath temple. This temple is 14 kms from chopta Uttarakhand. So if you come to Chopta or Tungnath Temple then do not forget to visit this temple, because it is said that those who cannot go to Kedarnath Dham, if they visit this Omkareshwar temple, then their journey is considered complete.
