There is always a lot to learn when returning to Adolphe Sax’s world of music, sound and music-making.
I just added an original Adolphe Sax alto and baritone to my collection and find the instruments and their tone endlessly fascinating. Here is a first-impression short video of the Adolphe Sax baritone (c. 1860) with an original Adolphe Sax mouthpiece from the same era. The baritone has a range from low B to high Eb and of course has a double octave key.
The second part of the video shows pictures of the remarkable mouthpiece which is in perfect condition.
