If you're trying to find someone on Facebook using just their phone number, you may be surprised to learn that directly searching for a phone number in the Facebook search bar no longer works in most cases. Facebook has limited this feature to protect users' privacy. That means entering a phone number in the search bar won't return the user profile associated with it. However, there is a reliable workaround by using Facebook's contact syncing feature. This lets you upload your phone’s contact list to Facebook, allowing the platform to suggest people who are in your contacts and also have their number linked to their Facebook account.

To use this feature, start by ensuring the phone number you’re trying to identify is saved in your phone’s contact list.
