The Dumbest Thing to Happen to Graphics Cards

Описание к видео The Dumbest Thing to Happen to Graphics Cards

The 12VHPWR connector is probably the most unnecessary thing to happen to graphics cards. The 8-Pin PCIE connector has been tried-and-true for over 15 years, yet Nvidia launched this new one to many problems (it clearly wasn't ready) and IT IS STILL HAVING PROBLEMS.

It goes everything from the adaptors, the "bend radius", the upgraded cases, possibly forced to upgrade power supplies (which are usually very reliable now)- that all go to make the 12VHPWR connector a rough launch. I personally also find it pretty frustrating. HOWEVER! There are clear reasons to why it exists... so is it all worth it?
