I Tried the Viral AI Wood Flower Planters… and Here’s What Actually Happened

I’ll admit, I’m pretty skeptical of anything I see online, especially when it looks too cute or too easy to be true. But when I saw these AI-generated wooden flower boxes floating around, I thought, “Okay, this actually looks doable.”

My husband tracked down a couple of pallets for me (thanks, babe), and I got to work dismantling them. Spoiler alert: I was NOT about to pry out a hundred nails and throw my back out, so I used a circular saw to cut everything down instead. Even with that shortcut, I still had to mill the boards, square them up, and cut them all to the same length. Let me tell you, this made me appreciate the convenience of just buying ready-to-go wood at Lowe’s because this process took over THREE hours.

Eventually, I had enough wood to build the boxes… but not enough for the flower toppers. So I dipped into my scrap wood stash (is it cheating? maybe a little?), pieced together some random cuts, and painted them with leftover paint to match our fence. Each flower is made of two pieces of wood and tacked to the top of the box. And honestly? They turned out really cute.
