We are thrilled to share the inspiring artistic journey of Zimmi Forest, an exceptional artist who has woven her passion for sustainability and the environment into every fibre of her work.

Zimmi's love for nature led her to embark on a creative path centred around the beauty of our natural world. She creates breathtaking art with nature, about nature, and often within nature itself, fostering a deep connection between her work and the environment.

Discovering an affection for basketry, a craft that laid the groundwork for her future artistic endeavours, in 1994, she took a leap of faith. She delved into working with plant fibres, teaching herself how to transform discarded natural materials into practical and exquisite objects. Her artwork might appear fragile, but it's a testament to the strength of her creativity. Employing shadow-play, negative spaces, and movement, Zimmi masterfully breathes life into her creations, capturing the essence of nature's wonders.

Zimmi's art goes beyond aesthetics; it carries a profound message. Her exhibitions address various personal, local, national, or global issues. Through her intricate and delicate creations, she finds a way to speak to our hearts, urging us to cherish and protect our planet.

Zimmi's talent has been recognized and celebrated throughout her career. She has been honoured to present ten solo shows at commercial and regional galleries. Moreover, her art has been commissioned by public galleries, private clients, hospitals, and resorts, reflecting widespread admiration for her work.
