The key policy documents are Kenya’s constitution (CoK, 2010), the overarching health policy (2014- 2030), the health act (Health Act, 2017) and the Kenya National Patient's Rights Charter. From these documents, Kenya’s policy, legal, regulatory and institutional framework makes provisions for healthcare communication, highlighting key initiatives and their impact on improving health literacy and access to care.
