Coverage of the Western Wanderer that took place on the 25th August 2025. The tour ran down to Cardiff from Crewe via Gloucester and Bristol before returning from Cardiff to Crewe via Westbury and Birmingham. The locos on the tour were D213 Andania, 45118 'Royal Artilleryman' and D1015 'Western Champion'.

We start at Cloddymore footbridge at Cheltenham to see D213 working hard out of the station after a passenger stop. A short break at Gloucester to change ends meant we could get ahead of the tour at Purton on the river Severn to see the class 40 leading once more. After a layover in Cardiff, D213 is seen heading light loco through Caldicot Halt to pick up the tour later that evening with 45118 double heading in tandem. The peak then worked the Cardiff to Bristol leg where we see D1015 join the train at Bristol Temple Meads to work Bristol to Gloucester via the B&H.
