Arthritis is common among heavy-set patients. For Patients who have early arthritis, losing weight definitely helps a lot. Along with physiotherapy and medication, exercises go a long way to help these patients.

Surely, if you are motivated enough to diet (while maintaining good nutrition) then even few kilos of weight loss helps. But in last 20 years of experience we have seen that it doesn’t happen for most of the patients as they present to us at a very late stage.

To put it simply weight loss matters in arthritis. But it is not possible for people with advanced arthritis.
