I’m not a popstar, or someone trying to be one. I’m a person who likes to write songs and sing. (I have a song that was on Adult Swim for a while. Personal goal! Yes! It's called Corners of Your Mind by Thelonious Martin. I used to write as KSRA.)

I used to write all the time, but most songs would sit unfinished, or unheard by anyone. Now I'm changing that.

Before my dad passed away early in 2018, he told me his regrets - the things he wished he accomplished before dying.

His words made me think a lot about what I wanted to do in my life while I was alive. I realized that if I didn’t share my songs, I would regret it when I died.

So this is me making sure I let my desires come to life, and live without regrets.

Is this take perfect? No.

I don’t want to share perfection, I want to share my joy. And the point of these videos is showing people the moments of JOY in music making. When I first started creating I got lost in studio perfection. Now, I want you to meet my songs in their rawest, truest form. You’ll hear lyrics, melody and an instrument.

Some of these songs that I post live versions of might go on to get arranged and recorded and some might not.

I go through TONS of self doubt as a writer and as a singer and that used to hold me back. But now I share despite the fear.

HI there! My name is Rachel Sarah Thomas and this is The Real Rachel Sarah. I’m a singer, songwriter, pianist, voice teacher, and memoirist.
