NRMA spokesperson Peter Khoury says the challenges are “extensive” in trying to bring the Australian road death toll down in the wake of Easter long weekend deaths.

“We’re unfortunately seeing more fatalities at this time of year when families are getting together,” Mr Khoury told Sky News Australia.

“We need to do more to make the roads safer, to improve our road network.”
