This week was full — in the best and hardest ways.

We started things off with an incredible week of VBS at our church. Carlin helped with the youth group, Evan filmed the whole week to create a recap video, and our kids had a blast learning about Jesus and playing with their friends. It was a long, tiring week, but so fulfilling for our family and so many others!

At home, we were in full-on project mode too — getting new carpet installed upstairs, which meant moving everything out of the bedrooms and then rearranging our room in prep for baby #3. Honestly, it feels like a whole new space now, and Evan’s not mad about the final result (even if he hated the process 😂).

But the biggest update came after this week’s doctor appointment…

At her last checkup a couple weeks ago, Carlin’s doctors began discussing whether she should start back on Heparin shots for her blood clotting disorder. It wasn’t something we were expecting to deal with this pregnancy — but after talking through it with her care team, they decided it was the safest next step as we head toward the end of pregnancy.

Carlin’s actually been getting everything set up and started the shots over the past couple weeks, but we hadn’t shared much about it yet. After this week’s follow-up, we felt like it was time to open up and walk through everything — the medical side, the emotional weight, and how we’re trusting the Lord through all of it.

We’re incredibly thankful both Carlin and the baby are doing great right now, and we’re praying it stays that way. Thanks so much for your love, support, and prayers — it means more than you know. ❤️
