"Waqia-e-Ifk" is the famous incident when some hypocrites spread a false accusation against Sayyidah Aisha (RA) during the return from the expedition of Banu Mustaliq. She was accidentally left behind from the caravan and later brought back to Madinah by a trusted companion, Safwan ibn al-Mu‘attal (RA). The enemies of Islam took this moment to spread lies and slander against her honor. This rumor caused great pain to Aisha (RA), the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the Muslim community. Months passed, and the Prophet ﷺ remained patient, trusting Allah, until Allah Himself revealed verses clearing Aisha (RA) of all accusations and honoring her purity.
