Orbex: US Yields Down! What Now?

Markets see no political risk amidst #Trump’s second and historical #impeachment. However, many fear the proceedings may stall the legislation of #Biden’s agenda. #President-elect will announce details about how he plans to support the US economy later today.

Yesterday, some turned to #inflation figures as the recent #dollar rally offered hopes of a swift economic recovery -- evident in US #yields. Hopes were diminished after Fed’s #Brainard said that the #Fed will likely keep untapering bond purchases until #QE and #unemployment goals are achieved.

Given the increasing #layoffs suggested in last week’s #NFP and core #CPI’s rise of only 0.1% MoM, inflation might take longer to lift. Perhaps higher yields in #emergingmarkets make a better bet around this time?
