Nish Vibes - Truth and courage

This episode of Nish Vibes begins with the Faculty of Health's Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, Myeengun Henry, speaking with University of Waterloo alum and Indigenous Research Advisor, Benny Skinner.

Benny is a two-spirit person who is Mi'kmaw and Kapampangan. They received their bachelor of arts degree in Peace and Conflict studies (2019), and hold a master of arts in Global Governance (2023). They are currently working in the Office of the Vice President, Research and International, working to advance the University's strategic goals of decolonization, reconciliation and Indigenization. They are also a professional human rights advocate, a former varsity rugby player and coach, and the first openly transgender athlete to compete at the varsity level at Waterloo.
