I started this song in high school but I’ve finally finished it. This song I made is about salmon fishing during the summer. As I sang and danced this song I thought about the importance of our way of life as Alaskan Native people. I’m forever grateful to live the way I live and I am proud to be a Yup’ik Alaskan Native. I feel grounded and rich in culture ♥️ please feel free to learn, teach, sing, and dance this song. If you change the drum beat or dance moves differently that’s okay too.
