Leilani was selected to speak at her 8th grade graduation. In addition, she was the one student selected to receive a special award from a member of Congress. She was the one student who received the same award when she graduated elementary school three years ago! She also received a special award honoring the fact that she maintained straight A's through all three years of middle school. 12 other students out of 350 that graduated were able to accomplish this.
