Dozens arrested in anti-terror raids in Belgium, France and Germany

Police have carried out more than a dozen anti-terror raids in France, Belgium and Germany as European governments step up efforts to fight the threat from radical Islamists.

Belgian police detained 15 people on Friday alone. It comes after police raided a flat in Verviers killing two gunmen suspected of an imminent attack.

The country remains on high alert and troops have been called up to boost security, however the prime minister says a specific threat does not exist.
