In Search of The Beach part 1 (in the footsteps of the book & movie)

Documentary film following in the footsteps of the Alex Garland / Leonardo Di Caprio film and book "The Beach". Film maker Dan Stanbury documents his adventures through Thailand from Bangkok to Koh Phangan to a forbidden island of the Angthong marine park in an attempt reach as close as possible the experience of The Beach. On his way he encounters the debauchery of the full moon party, bohemian paradise communes and outlandish characters, including the soon to be great artist and musician Smoky Tiger (aka Andrew Courtnage) and the slightly insane aristocratic ex-French commando and banker to the Russian mafia Jean X, who both join him on a mission to find and camp out on a deserted island.
