In September 2018 I was asked to make a short animation telling Ian Palmer's life story. Ian was a brave man with a great sense of humour, who despite many seemingly unfair challenges, lived his life to the full. Ian loved all things film related and in particular, he was obsessed with the cigar smoking detective, Columbo!

Sadly, Ian was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour last year and having seen a short animation I had done previously, he and his family asked me to produce an animation celebrating his life, to be introduced by Ian and played at his wake. Ian's quirky idea was to add just a little sprinkling of his fun-loving personality to the day, and the video above is the result.

Having made and shown the animation and considering Ian's love of film, I felt it was fitting to put it online and share the video with as many people as possible. So once you have watched the video, if you can, please like and share it and help us to make Ian the star of his own life story.
