1946 Fender Champion Lap Steel...Upgrade?

Описание к видео 1946 Fender Champion Lap Steel...Upgrade?

One year after filming this, I still feel I made the right decision with the new jack. My opinion as a professional luthier is that these instruments are tools to use, and repair in, if possible and with respect, a better way.

What is "better"? - That answer will differ from person to person, and each person's opinion will shift over a life time, maybe back n forth, but hopefully always forward.

Fender Princeton Champion from around 1946 (Stamped plate reads A543- if anyone can figure out an exact year, let me know).

I found this Reverb listing of a "1946 Princeton Champion, serial #A229" which they say is "First Year Of Production".

I also found this from 1946, Serial number A583. https://www.cescoscornerguitars.com/p...

I have found many later models of the Champion with two knobs and different shaped scratch plate being to most obvious differences, but i've found this one knob version difficult to get accurate information on. Do let me know if you have any details.
