Autumn Chrome (Tutaekuri River)

It's Autumn, the rivers are cooling down and the winter rains are just around the corner. Trout are at their best after a long summer of feeding on nymph life in the rivers. I spent an afternoon down fishing for Rainbow Trout on a nice clear day. A double rig of nymphs was the choice of the day. The fish were cooperating well and i caught and released 9 separate Rainbows up to 2 1/2 pounds. Along with getting smashed by a few fish over the 4 pound mark. Fish were in the condition of their lives and put me into my backing on multiple occasions. Not common!
